Copy Editing Assistant Volunteer 

 

Your role as a Copy Editing Assistant will involve helping towards the competition of a range of manuscripts from all over the world. As a volunteer, you would not be expected to complete full manuscripts, unless you are happy to take on that amount of work. Instead, you will be provided with individual chapters, synopses, and query letters.  

Please note: this is a remote voluntary position, so successful applicants will work from home and need access to Microsoft Word.  

Responsibilities 

  • Reviewing and polishing written content to improve its readability, flow, and clarity.  

  • Correcting spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and typos. 

  • Perfecting punctuation mistakes and misplacement. 

  • Checking for inconsistencies and repetition. 

  • Improving description (show vs tell).

Literary Blogger Volunteer 

 

Your role as a Literary Blogger will involve writing engaging content that relates to reading, writing, editing, and publishing. In this position, you will be given a selection of niche topics to write about for the weekly blog. Literary Journalist Volunteer 

 

Your role as a Literary Journalist will involve interviewing a range of writers and independent authors and bringing their personal story to life. Features much be unique and engaging while focusing on their life, struggles, success, and publications. 

Responsibilities

  • Finding and researching a variety of writers and authors from a range of cultural backgrounds. 

  • Conduct interviews, either in person or remotely. 

  • Write and edit engaging features to promote the writer/author's life and work.
